Time commitment is 2 in-office days per week,
plus occasional event days.


We offer a rewarding, unpaid internship for those serious about wanting to learn about the inner-workings of an event design and planning company.  This is a great fit for someone that aspires to be an event planner OR someone who just loves the industry and sees him/herself in a marketing or operations "chief of staff" type of role.  There will be a balance of in-office support and hands-on event coordination exposure.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Proficiency with Mac products preferred
  • Social Media Savvy
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and other Adobe Design Suite programs preferred, but not a must
  • Proven great communication and writing skills 
  • Enthusiastic about the opportunity to learn through hard work
  • Humble and gracious (it's not always glamorous)
  • Patient, organized, motivated self-starter
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Great sense of humor
  • Live in the greater Houston area (central or north side preferred for travel ease) and able to come to NW Houston/Cypress area
  • Available two days per week and on occasional weekends for events
  • Able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
  • Can be on your feet for many hours at a time 
  • Have reliable transportation

 

Responsibilities:

  • Projects related to marketing and promoting Ruby Rogers Events

  • Update our website galleries, social media and advertising as needed

  • Blog at least once a week

  • Custom invitation assembly and other custom design project work

  • Event details and materials sourcing, both in person and online

  • Liaise with clients and vendors as needed

  • Attend vendor and client meetings with Brooke 

  • Assist in production at events on the occasional weekend and some weekdays or evenings
